St. Gertrude Parish is a worshiping community which seeks to live its Catholic faith based on Christian values. The parish is unified in diversity, committed to community service, and called to extend God's love to everyone. Using our living faith, we will strive to motivate children and families to embrace the Catholic tradition, through excellence in education and commitment to the community, so that it might now and always enrich every aspect of their lives.

Proposed Church Additions

Dear Parishioners,

Thank you in advance for taking time to review the St. Gertrude facility master plan and the new building additions presently under consideration. The goal of the parish is to maximize the number of parishioners that will embrace and take ownership of the facility master plan and the new building additions. Attached is a summary of the discussions of the past open parishioner meetings on these topics. Since some parishioners favor summarized information and some desire more detail a “click here” is provided when more detailed discussion of the stated topic is preferred.

Father James discussed in Mass this past Sunday that the Kenedy Memorial Foundation has offered all parishes an opportunity to apply for a remodeling grant. This grant offers St. Gertrude the opportunity to receive between 200,000 - 1,000,000 dollars.  This grant became available only this past week and the application is due on July 28, 2014.  This grant would offer significant opportunity for St. Gertrude Parish to advance their short and long term goals of growth and expansion. The building project must be “shovel ready” by October 2015.

Please contact your friends and families that are registered with St. Gertrude Parish, and ask them to give their input as soon as possible. Parishioners are not being asked to vote on any of the building projects in discussion at this time. This information is provided to ensure all parishioners have an opportunity to remain current on all past meeting discussions and to give all parishioners an opportunity to review the information and give their input by sending their comments, ideas, and questions through the assigned e-mail.
